The main wall is decorated by a tapestry with the motive of Charles IV presenting the University's  foundation charter to the Czech patron St. Wenceslas. In front the tapestry there is a bronze statue of Charles IV, Holy Roman Emperor and German king and king of Bohemia.

Social dinner (Wednesday, February 17)

The first New Town Restaurant Brewery located right in the centre of Prague has been the featured venue for the conference social dinner.

The complex of interconnected cellars and surface-level rooms is a home for popular 14th century tradition of combining a mini-brewery with a restaurant in a single unit. Hundreds years ago, there were many old-style burgess breweries in the New Town, where the brewing licence was handed down from father to son. Prague people enjoyed their unique atmosphere and homemade beer which was consumed on the spot.

Today, the New Town Brewery's homemade beer is brewed with Ziemann equipment and uses exclusively pure Czech ingredients (malt and hops). It is made in the traditional manner – in a brewhouse, a fermenting cellar, and a storage cellar. The beer is completely natural, unfiltered, free of preservatives, with a distinctive opal hue of yeast.
