Angelica Albertini is a PhD student in theoretical physics, working at the Astronomical Institute of the Czech Academy of Sciences under the supervision of Georgios Loukes-Gerakopoulos since October 2021. She obtained her Master's degree from the University of Turin in July 2021.

Her research deals with the gravitational waves emitted by coalescing black hole binaries. She mainly works within the effective-one-body approach to the two-body problem in general relativity, tackling the issues related to waveform modelling for binaries with a large mass ratio. She is also interested in the binary dynamics for generic (eccentric and inclined) orbits.
